Medical Supplies – Wound care supplies, catheters, and other essential medical products.
Home Infusion Services – IV therapy, hydration, and medication administration in the comfort of home.
Other Home-Based Services – Access to specialized care providers or therapies as required.

Who Pays for Home Health Services?

If you are homebound and require intermittent Skilled Nursing, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapy, Medicare covers 100% of qualifying services provided in your home—even if you haven’t been hospitalized—as long as the care is ordered by a physician.

Private Insurance and Medi-Cal may also cover Home Health services. Since benefits vary by policy, Saddleback Home Health Services, Inc. will review your coverage, clarify your benefits, and work closely with you and your family to maximize your plan’s benefits.

We’ll take care of billing Medicare or your insurance company directly, so you won’t have to worry about insurance forms or out-of-pocket payments for covered services.

What Does Medicare Cover?

Medicare provides coverage for a range of home health services when ordered by a physician and deemed medically necessary. These services include:

Skilled Nursing Care – Monitoring and managing medical conditions, wound care, and medication administration.
Physical Therapy – Exercises and treatments to improve mobility, strength, and balance.
Speech Therapy – Assistance with communication, swallowing difficulties, and cognitive impairments.
Occupational Therapy – Support for regaining independence with daily activities like dressing, bathing, and grooming.
Home Health Aide Services – Personal care assistance, such as bathing, grooming, and hygiene support.
Medical Social Services – Counseling, care planning, and connections to community resources.

Additional Coverage:
Medicare may also cover other services needed as part of your care plan:

Medical Equipment – Items like walkers, wheelchairs, and hospital beds (80% of the cost is covered).
Medical Supplies – Wound dressings, catheters, and other supplies related to the care provided by the agency.

What Insurances Are Accepted By Us?

At Saddleback Home Health, we ONLY accept Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) as primary insurance for our services.

Accepted Insurance Plans:

Original Medicare (Part A & B)
- Part A – Covers hospital stays, skilled nursing care, hospice, and some home health care.
- Part B – Covers doctor visits, outpatient care, medical equipment, and preventive services.

Insurance Plans We Do Not Accept:

Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C) – Includes HMO and PPO plans that often require in-network providers and may include extra benefits like dental and vision.
Supplemental Insurance (Medigap) – Works with Original Medicare to reduce out-of-pocket costs but cannot be used as standalone coverage.
Medi-Cal (Medicaid) – A state-funded program for low-income individuals. While it can sometimes work alongside Medicare, we do not accept Medi-Cal on its own.
